We stand up straight, we shoot straight, we drive straight, and attempt to live straight. The word ‘Stalwart’ implies that we have the strength and stamina to withstand punishment in combat, without loss of heart, and that we have the ability to deal a knockout blow to any enemy on any kind of job.
— Col. Sidney R. Hinds - C.O. 41st AIR

Who are the 41st?

Assigned to the 2nd Armored Division on July 15th 1940, the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment served as the organic infantry support to the newly formed armored division. The unit would go on to fight in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy and the Rhineland, seeing combat from November 1942 to V-E Day in May 1945.

The 41st AIR is a Central Florida historical organization that cooperates closely with WW2Armor.org. We are educators who aim to engage the public by showing them how an armored division cooperated in the field of battle, by working hand in hand with the tank crewmen of WW2 Armor. We demonstrate the tactics, techniques and trials of what an armored unit faced during WWII.
